College Work-Study Funds

Payment Procedures

Work-study payment procedures are designed to provide students with the ultimate flexibility in handling their work-study funds. Whether you intend to keep your paychecks or use the earnings to help pay for your education, one of the options below will be right for you.

Payment Options

We encourage online payments through our secure e-commerce system accessible in LORA Self-Service.

Using Loyola's E-Commerce System

Loyola's e-commerce system allows you to pay with a credit card, using a saved payment method, or with a checking or savings account. Students can access the e-commerce platform in their LORA Self-Service account.

Tax Credits and the 1098-T

The Taxpayer Relief Act of 1997 and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) allows a tax credit to be claimed for out-of-pocket payments made to Loyola University New Orleans for the tax year for tuition and certain fees. The IRS requires that we provide the 1098-T statement to you for your use in completing IRS Form 8863. A detailed listing of charges, payments, grants, and scholarships is available on our website through your LORA account.

Tuition Protection Plan

Protect your tuition payments

Loyola University New Orleans has proudly partnered with GradGuard™ to offer Tuition Insurance from Allianz Global Assistance. The Tuition Protection plan is like an extension of our refund policy. It can reimburse up to 100% of your nonrefundable school costs after a mid-semester withdrawal for a covered illness, injury, psychological condition, and more—protecting your investment in higher education.
