Professional Accreditations 2022-2023

List of associations that professionally accredit undergraduate/graduate programs. Only those agencies recognized by the Department of Education (COE) are included; state agencies are excluded:

  • Accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACS/COC)

  • Approved by the American Bar Association (ABA)

  • Association of American Law Schools (AALS)

  • The baccalaureate degree program in nursing, the master's degree program in nursing, and the Doctor of Nursing Practice program at Loyola University New Orleans is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (http://www.ccneaccreditation.org).

  • The Loyola University New Orleans Nurse Anesthesia Program is accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA), 10275 W. Higgins Rd., Suite 906, Rosemont, IL 60018-5603; (224) 275-9130. The program's next review by the COA is scheduled for Fall 2028.

  • Approved by Louisiana State Board of Nursing (LSBN)

  • The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB)

  • The Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP)

  • Approved by Center of Play Therapy Education and Research by the Association for Play Therapy (APT)

  • BS Chemistry approved by American Chemical Society

  • The Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (ACEJMC)

  • Certification in Education for Public Relations (CEPR)

  • National Association of Schools of Music (NASM)

  • American Music Therapy Association (AMTA)

  • Preaccredited by the Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (ACME)
