Design

Loyola’s Bachelor of Design program emphasizes Jesuit values with the transformative power of design to foster social, cultural, and political change. We aim to nurture creative, digitally proficient, and critical thinkers who apply their design and conceptual skills to benefit the broader community. The program prepares students for careers across various design fields—such as interactive, motion graphics, and publication design—by guiding them to build portfolios featuring innovative interactions and thought-provoking animations that encourage critical thinking and solve real-world challenges for a more just and equitable world.

Discover your Future

In the Bachelor of Design program, students begin with a shared design core during their first two years, exploring various design disciplines like motion, UX, and print design. Afterward, students select a concentration to specialize in and complete their studies.

Graphic Design

Students will explore both analog and digital methods to develop creative visual solutions through motion and print projects designed for diverse audiences.

Interactive Design

Students will explore user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design through collaborative projects, research, and technical explorations focused on meeting the needs of end users.

Minor in Design

To complement a student’s primary area of study, learn the fundamentals of design to solve visual problems and collaborate effectively with professional designers.
