Bio
Raymond G. Areaux is a registered patent attorney and founding member of Carver, Darden, Koretzky, Tessier, Finn, Blossman & Areaux, LLC. His practice is devoted to obtaining, licensing, and enforcing all manner of IP rights. His primary practice areas are trademarks, branding, patents, franchises, computers, software, trade secrets, media law, copyright, unfair competition, and privacy law. He has served as an arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association since 1994 and is specially designated to the large/complex matters roster.
For 25 years, Mr. Areaux has served as an adjunct professor of law for trademarks and unfair competition at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. He also now teaches a privacy law class for the last eight years and has served as chair of the Visiting (Dean’s) Committee since 2020. He is also a former member of the Editorial Board of INTA’s Trademark Reporter. He is a member of the American Bar Association IP Law Section, the International Trademark Association, the American IP Law Association, and the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
