Support the Center

The Walker Percy Center for Writing and Publishing was created to foster literary talent and achievement, advance the art of writing as essential to a good education, and serve the makers, teachers, students and readers of writing by providing educational and vocational opportunities in writing and publishing.

A Loyola University press, for credit and non-credit creative writing courses, and community programming, including a reader series, writers-in-residence, and high school summer writing programs, will meet the increased need for writers spurred by a growth in new publishing delivery technologies such as internet and digital media, blogs, wiki’s, video gaming, websites as well as printed texts, literary magazines, and small presses.
