For tutoring in writing
Your first stop for writing help is the Writing Center, located in the Student Success Center, MA 112. We are open six days a week for your convenience. No appointments are necessary.
We provide free tutoring on writing assignments, including:
- Analytical essays
- Argumentative essays
- Response papers
- Research papers in all majors
- Book reports and reviews
- Film and drama reviews
- Lab reports
- Proposals, business reports, letters, and memos
- Service learning writing projects
Students receive help with all phases of the writing process, from brainstorming ideas to synthesizing sources, tightening arguments, and revising for clarity and style. WAC tutors do not edit or correct students' papers; instead, they work with students to help them strengthen their critical thinking skills and improve their own writing.
We also offer online tutoring for graduate students and distance learners. Please click here for online help, or feel free to use the writing guides below.
For tutoring in a math course
Tutors in math are located in the Math Center, Monroe 413. Peer tutors meet one-on-one with students who need help in math, from the fundamentals of algebra through calculus, differential equations and linear algebra.
