Playworks Header

The mission of Playworks Louisiana is to increase opportunities for physical activity and safe, meaningful play. The vision of Playworks is that one day all kids will play in school every day.

Depending on the student's schedule, the student will either assist in leading games and facilitating recess, after-school programs, or league play. We also have volunteer opportunities for those interested in special projects or weekend service to our communities.

Students who serve with Playworks Louisiana will have the unique opportunity to see how play and recess can develop children's social skills. Students will be working closely with Playworks staff and partner-school students to utilize play to teach conflict resolution, build character, and increase physical activity at schools each day.
