The JSRI Staff and Associates each have an outreach or liaison function by which, in addition to their issue-focus, they develop a working fe involved with people on the move. The respective fellow or associate develops this familiarity by personal contacts, study, research, and, where appropriate, participation in coalitions active in those areas.amiliarity with one of the Gulf South states, the issues it faces, and the “constituencies” that the Institute would like to serve. These constituencies include Church leaders, Jesuits, Catholic Charities, justice and peace advocates, those working on issues of race and poverty, and those areas.
