The following ad about the IAPL Conference is presented in accord with an “Agreement of Cooperation” entered into between the Loyola University College of Law and the Moscow State University Faculty of Law in April of 2010.
In 2012 the International Association of Procedural Law (“IAPL”) is organizing the Annual Conference in Russia. It will take place in Moscow in September 18-21. Scholars from more than 40 countries are planning to report there.
The IAPL was established in Bologna in 1955 to further the appreciation, study, and implementation of just and effective legal procedures in comparative context. Since then it has become the leading international organization devoted to the study and improvement of procedure and its members include leading proceduralists from all over the world, including judges, distinguished practitioners, and scholars.
Each year our Association hosts a conference in a different part of the world. Recent conferences have been held in Kyoto, Toronto, and Valencia. Moreover, World Congresses are held quadrennialy. The most recent Congress took place in 2007 in Salvador da Bahia in Brazil, and in 2011 in Heidelberg. The 2012 Conference will be our first in Russia.
