University Photographer, Harold Baquet, spends time in Belize with Biology and Travel Writing Students
University Photographer Harold Baquet spent a week with Loyola students
in the wilderness of Belize. He caught up with Dr. Bob Thomas and Dr.
Frank Jordan's Tropical Biology students, along with Professor Michael
Perstein's Travel Writing class, in the thick forest surrounding the
Maya Mountains for three days of strenuous mountain hikes and nature
study. The group then spent three days offshore exploring the aquatic
reef system surrounding Glover's Atoll.
"It was hilarious watching the scientists and journalists relate to each
other, and interesting to hear their different opinions of what was
being experienced, with each expanding the others' horizons," Baquet
said.
