Baccalaureate Mass

4 p.m., University Sports Complex

Faculty and staff, dressed in academic attire, should assemble on the sixth floor of the University Sports Complex, Meeting Room #613, 30 minutes prior to the Mass in order to line up for the processional. Representatives from University Ministry will guide the procession.

Undergraduate and Graduate Commencement

Saturday, May 10, 2014
9:45 a.m., Mercedes-Benz Superdome

Arrival
Arrive no later than 9 a.m. for 9:45 a.m. ceremony

Entry to the Faculty/Staff Robing Room in the East Club Lounge (located on the Ground Level) is via the 1st floor of Garage #1. This is the location to robe in academic attire and assemble in the proper order for the ceremonial procession, which will begin promptly at 9:45 a.m. Refreshments will be provided.

The order of proceedings for the ceremony will be listed in your program, which you will receive in the meeting area upon your arrival. The ceremony should last approximately two hours.

SHUTTLE SERVICE
New this year, there will be complimentary shuttle service to and from the West Road Garage and the Superdome for faculty and staff participating in the academic procession for the Undergraduate and Graduate Commencement Ceremony. Please check the appropriate box on the Faculty-Staff Commencement Participation Form for shuttle reservations.  Reservations are required so we can schedule the appropriate number of vehicles.

The shuttle will make one run only to the Superdome, leaving from the 1st floor of the West Road Garage promptly at 8:30 a.m. It will return to campus following the ceremony with a departure time from the Superdome of approximately 12:20 p.m.

Parking
Faculty and staff participating in the academic procession who choose to drive their own car are encouraged to park in Garage #1. The Faculty/Staff Robing Room is accessed via the 1st floor of Garage #1. The entrance for Garage #1 is via Poydras Street. Additional parking will be available in Superdome Garage #6, which is also accessed via Poydras Street.

The cost for parking is $15 per vehicle and is payable in cash only upon entering the parking facilities.

The lots will be open beginning at 7 a.m.

"Gauntlet" Recessional
If you are participating in the Undergraduate and Graduate commencement ceremony, please know that there will be our customary "gauntlet" that the students will recess through.

The students enjoy saying their last goodbyes to you as they leave the venue. Your commencement marshals will provide additional information that morning.

College of Law Graduation Mass

Participating faculty and staff, dressed in academic attire, should assemble in the Ignatius Chapel, located on the first floor of Bobet Hall, at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 8, in order to line up for the processional for the College of Law Graduation Mass. Representatives from University Ministry will guide the procession.

College of Law Commencement Ceremony

5:45 p.m., Mercedes-Benz Superdome

Arrival
Arrive no later than 5 p.m. for 5:45 p.m. ceremony.

This is the location to robe in academic attire and assemble in the proper order for the ceremonial procession, which will begin promptly at 5:45 p.m. Refreshments will be provided.

The order of proceedings for the ceremony will be listed in your program, which you will receive in the meeting area upon your arrival. The ceremony should last approximately 90 minutes.
