Loyola International Student Scholarship
The Center for International Education and the International Student Association is pleased to announce the opening of competition for the International Student Scholarship for 2008/2009. This scholarship amount has not yet been determined, but will range from $800 to $1500 for the 2008/2009 academic year. Scholarship funds can be applied to any school-related expense. The recipient of this award must be in F-1 status, have a 3.0 minimum grade point average, and have demonstrated significant contributions to cultural understanding and awareness on the Loyola campus. Financial need will also be considered. All applications must be submitted byFRIDAY, FEBRUARY 22, 2008.
Students applying for the scholarship must meet the following criteria:
- 3.0 minimum grade point average at Loyola University New Orleans
- Be in F-1 status
- Demonstrate significant contributions to cultural understanding at Loyola University New Orleans
- Demonstrate financial need if appropriate.
Applicants for the scholarship must submit the following documents:
- Resume
- Transcript
- 2 letters of recommendations
- A brief statement of applicant's contribution to cultural understanding (1 page typed)
- A written statement regarding financial need may be submitted when appropriate.
Completed applications must be submitted by Friday, February 22, 2008 to the Center for International Education, Mercy 301. A committee of faculty, staff and students will select the scholarship recipient and announce the recipient at the International Student Association Scholarship Banquet on Friday, March 7, 2008. Provides educational allowances to outstanding undergraduate students from East and Southeast Asia who are currently studying in the US and who plan to intern with US nonprofit organizations.

Provides financial assistance to women from developing countries who are committed to improving the lives of women and children in their home countries.
Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholarships
Ambassadorial and World Peace Scholarships available to students whose country of citizenship and intended country of study have Rotary Club representation.
