It was the turbulent 60s and early 70s. Loyola's drama department adapted an experimental theatre, producing fairy tales. The music was original songs of protest. Using only light music and imagination, it was highly successful for that time period on campus. The cast and company were invited to repeat the show in the French Quarter under the Vieux Carre community theatre.
Some of the cast included John and Jeanette Bonich, Kathy Green, Kathy Fitzpatrick, Michael Russo, Francis, Stanley Shapiro, and others. This was one of my favorite highlights while attending Loyola University in 1969-1972. Congratulations on being a century old. I will always cherish my college years at Loyola and my wonderful friends in the Communications and Drama Department. Thank you.
