Memories
Below is our collection of memories by members of the Loyola Community. Share your memory with us so the Loyola community can remember the good times and struggles that
happened on our campus over the last century.
2000s
Working with the SGA, IFC and other organizations to make for better student life and Loyola. Fun Productive Times!
Sometimes I joke that it took me 15 years to graduate from Loyola University New Orleans. I started classes in 1991 when a family friend recommended the Loyola Preparatory Ballet Program. I graduated with a B.A. in 2006 alongside the last group of students to celebrate on Marquette Hall's front...
Reveling with my Loyola friends at Mardi Gras balls was always my favorite, especially when a random tornado visits Uptown eliminating all electricity in the area and allowing us to enjoy a beautiful New Orleans day. I also won't forget Dr. J. Steward Wood and his MASSIVE syllabi ... enough said...
I'll never forget the fire alarm ringing twice in one night at Buddig Hall and going up and down those stairs (from the 9th floor) twice!
My favorite campus activity was the business bbq. Professors cooked burgers and hot dogs for students. haha! And it was free!!!
