Lagniappe

Lagniappe (pronounced "lang yape") is a lovely 6" flower of uncertain parentage. The bush is not particularly robust and it is unclear whether it will pass the seedling evaluation tests now being conducted at the Dupont Nursery.

When the plant is in bloom, it never fails but to catch the eye. The strawberry red color merges beautifully with the lighter pink along the border of the petals. The whitish ruffles along the edge of the petals turn up to give the flower its unique appeal.
